I received emails from LOTS of people - and all of them - every single one - was to help a family of one of our very own Helpers. We were deeply saddened to learn of the tragic house fire that totally destroyed the home of Robert Freeman and Tameka Brown. They are staying temporarily with Debra Freeman and we would like to offer our help to her precious family.
Needs:
Top priorities: - Furniture
- Bedding (twin and queen sizes)
- Towels
- Bath cloths
- Personal items
- Washing powder (Gain/Tide/etc)
Debra has said that the school families are helping with clothing and food, but in case you would like to also help with that here are the sizes:
Father- 36 pants- 2XL shirt, 10 shoe
Mother- 16 pants, 1x shirt, 8 1/2 shoe (she wears scrubs for work, so I'm sure those would also be appreciated - any color)
Sons - boys clothing sizes ranging from 8-14, boys shoe sizes 3-5
Daughter – girls clothing size 12; girls shoe size 2 ½ - 3
Let's see what we can get together between now and Wednesday for the first drop off phase.
Drop off Locations:
- Jones Wheat Elementary School (Lauren Turner)
- Bainbridge High School - Guidance Dept (Susan Moseley)
- if neither of these are good for you, you can also drop it by my house or call me and I can make pick ups - please email me at momara@dcboe.com for my information.
Also, I would say that a monetary donation and/or gift cards (restaurants/Wal-Mart/Winn Dixie/etc) would be good for this situation. You can make the checks out to Debra Freeman, and any cash can be sent to any drop off location.
Please remember to mark everything you give with PROJECT RF.
